This workshop is for brand new beginners to understand their computers. Join our instructor to learn about the types of computers, (Apple and Windows) operating systems, hardware and central processing units. The course covers information on the keyboard, desktop, folders and a little about Microsoft Word.

This workshop will teach the participant how to use the Windows 8 menu system, search menus, scroll bars, and drop down menus and Windows 8 system applications. The instructor will show participants how to resize and move standard tiles, and more.

Workshop participants will begin this course with a discussion on what social media is and what it can be used for. Participants will review many of the social media networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Google+. During the workshop participants will be assisted in setting up their social media accounts.
